For those of you that haven’t heard the rumors or seen the Mall of the South post yet.

Gamer’s Fest will be held 1st – 3rd of April in Mall of the South in the South of Johannesburg.


This is an event that brings the Speed of Fibre internet, Console gaming, VR experiences, Racing simulators and eSports all together under one roof.

There will be two main attraction areas.  The mall itself, which will have a number of entertainment areas, including an eSports stage setup where the main games will be played on and broadcast.


Downstairs is a premium LAN area which will seat 400 people. Add unlimited broadband access provided by Vodacom and even a Gamers Lounge and viewing deck for the public.

The tickets cost R350 for the weekend and this includes your seat in the LAN, a food voucher each day, and an entry into either CS:GO, Dota 2 or FIFA 2016 competition.

PLEASE NOTE. The Lan and tournament is BYOC (Bring your own Computer)

To register for one of the above tournaments, you will have to create a team on nAvTV’s website and then enter the tournament there. We will then verify that your entire team has bought a ticket

Registrations to the tournaments will close the Wednesday 20:00 the 30th of March.

Qualifiers will be run the 1st of April, starting at 15:00 the afternoon. To get placement into the main event starting Saturday 2nd of April. You are allowed one sub for the duration of the tournament. So that if one of your players still has work, or is in class, you have a sub for the Friday afternoon

nAvTV has decided to directly invite 6 teams for CS:GO and 5 teams for Dota 2 to the event, these  teams get direct seeding into the main event starting Saturday.

There is a wildcard tournament starting at 15:00 the Friday, where 10 teams can shoot their way to the main event  starting Saturday. And 3 Dota 2 teams can qualify.

For the FIFA players, your competition will start the Friday Afternoon, keep your eyes on the nAvTV website for more details regarding the times and rules.

The Ticketing system will go live today.

The Prize distribution is being locked down as we speak, but the prize pool is R200 000 of predominately cash and some premium hardware from partners that have joined in to bring you this event.

FIFA Prizes
1st Place – R12 000
2nd Place – R2000 + PS4 Console
3rd Place – R1000 + PS4 Controllers + game (to be confirmed closer to the event)

Dota 2 &CS:GO Prizes
Partners and sponsors are still being confirmed, Minimum R135 000 to be split between CS:GO and Dota 2
